Sometimes, participants or their primary caregivers may require a brief change or even a respite. This is where Short-Term Accommodation (STA) or Respite care services can become vital. The NDIS provides for Short Term Accommodation or Respite care to cater for such circumstances. This service pays for the cost of care when the participant is taken to another facility for up to 14 days giving the primary carer a much-needed break without the participant’s care being paused.
